Our classes are taught by dedicated, certified, and experienced educators. We are Regional Title Holders, National Competition Winners, and Members of Dance Masters of America. We offer special preschool curriculum, fun classes emphasizing technique, as well as fundamentals of dance, intermediate and advanced work. We're proud that all of our teachers are certified by Test to Teach through Dance Masters of America, Acrobatic Arts, and have specialist in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor's Degree.) Patricia Kelbaugh has been teaching for over 50 years. She studied dance under Jane Prouse and Irene Albert in Baltimore, and later with the Washington School of Ballet. While continuing her studies in dance, she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education and Art at Towson University. Additionally, Ms. Kelbaugh has trained in both vocal and instrumental music for many years and has directed choral music for both children and adult choirs for 20 years.
She has performed in dramatic and musical productions, including a lead role as singer/dancer in "Brigadoon." Ms. Kelbaugh also danced at the Lyric Theatre for a season with the Baltimore Civic Opera Ballet company.
A member of Dance Masters of America, Ms. Kelbaugh has passed three national examinations in Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. She is Past President of Chapter 17, Inc. of Dance Masters of America. For two years, she taught dance to the visually handicapped at the Maryland School for the Blind. She presently holds workshops and seminars in Religious Dance. For four years, she directed a Liturgical Dance Troupe in Rockville. For 23 years, she has directed Liturgical Dance at week-long youth music and arts workshops sponsored by the Fellowship of United Methodist Musicians.

Kara Huff — Grew up at PKDS, learning from her family: Patricia Kelbaugh (grandmother) and Wendy Huff (mother). In addition, studied extensively with Ashley Canterna-Hardy, Troy D. Brown, and Athena Russo. She has had the honor to perform with renowned artists including; Ashley Canterna-Hardy, Adrienne Canterna, Robert Roldan, Lee Gumbs, Barton Cowperthwaite, and many others! She has performed in many benefit concerts including the Bald Ballerina, No One Can Survive Alone Benefit Concert . She has also performed many principal roles in different Ballets and Guest Artist for many Nutcracker’s. A former competition team dancer for 14 years and a former Captain of our competition team. A National Champion, Kara also won many Dance Masters Chapter 17 Scholarships including, Tap Scholarship, Summer SHIP Tuition Scholarship (Student Honors Intensive Program) with Dance Masters of America, and a Full Ride Tuition Scholarship to TTS (Teacher Training School) with Dance Masters of America. She is also a former title holder.
Kara is certified to teach Acro through Acrobatic Arts. Recently, Kara completed all four years of TTS, tested nationally in all four subjects at TTS; Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Modern, and passed all four exams with flying colors! Kara is now a member of Dance Masters of America and Chapter 17. She has received numerous awards regionally and nationally for her choreography and costume creations! Her students have become National Champions, gone to perform with Alonzo King Company, University for dance, become dance teachers themselves, and joined dance companies. Kara is very excited to share her passion for dance with her students and her love for ballet with her annual production of the Nutcracker.

Wendy Huff, has been teaching dance for over 30 years, She began her dance training under the leadership of her mother and various other teaches. She continued her studies at Towson University and holds several credits in dance. Wendy has won many awards, the most recent being the Bernice Warner Scholarship for three years in a row for Dance Masters of America for Teachers Training. As an exceptional graduating student, she won still another scholarship to return for post graduate training and was then elected to DMA membership. Wendy was awarded scholarship to Princeton Theological Seminary, where she graduated from their Youth Ministry and Theology certification program.
